Regardless of how you feel about Halloween, God has given you a golden opportunity to be gospel lights to your neighbors. This is the one time of year where our neighbors actually come to our door to be blessed.
Black lives indisputably matter. They eternally matter to God and must matter to us. The Word of God proclaims this:
When we hear of struggle and affliction happening to another member of our church, we must not merely think about them for a moment, feel sorry for them, and move on. We are called to suffer with them.
The coronavirus has brought along with it an ocean of opinions. We have opinions about the severity of the virus. We have opinions about the quarantine. We have opinions about politics. We have opinions about when church should resume.
Sometimes we believe the lie from the Enemy that if we just had more time during the day then we would finally be able to read our Bibles.
Each day this week, I encourage you to read the short Scripture text below assigned to each day to help position your heart to treasure our Risen King.
COVID has shown God’s kindness. During this season, God has given us more time with our whole family together than maybe we have ever had before.
The goal of parenting is the glory of God. We are parenting to raise Jesus worshippers. We are parenting to raise our 4 year-old and our 17 year-old to still be following Jesus when they are 22 and 35.
It seems that often these conversations can be harder when we are merely living from one “big” conversation to the next. While in between each big conversation is nearly little-to-no daily meaningful conversation about life and godliness. About fears and hopes. About trials and celebrations.
