About

At Swift Creek we desire to see every adult learn and grow together while encouraging one another along the way. Our main focus for adult ministry is our Sunday morning Connect Groups. Through these groups, you can experience biblical community, study and discuss the bible, and be encouraged to go out with the message of Jesus to friends, neighbors and co-workers. Connect Groups are offered based on age and stage of life. Find a Connect Group

Beyond Sunday morning, we offer Women’s, Men’s, and Senior Adult ministries. We hope these ministries provide you with what you need for this specific time in your life and allow you to become a growing member of our Swift Creek Community. We believe that God’s Word always has the answers, and we invite you to explore with us!

Women’s Ministry

The Women’s Ministry at Swift Creek seeks to provide opportunities for women to grow toward maturity in Christ through discipleship, fellowship, service, and outreach.

Bible Study

We offer a weekly Bible study (9:30a, 6:30p in-person, and 1:00p virtual) on Tuesdays for women of all ages. Our goal is to encourage a deeper understanding of God’s word by offering a multigenerational context so that mentor relationships naturally occur around the tables in small groups.

Events

Women’s Events are scheduled regularly throughout the year and include casual nights for community and fellowship as well as weekend retreats and special activities. Upcoming events will be scrolling at the top of this page!

Swift Creek MOMS

Swift Creek MOMs is designed for any woman with children in the home. Our goal is to point the women of Swift Creek Baptist Church and their friends to become more Christ-like as we behold His glory. (2 Corinthians 3:18-19)

Each month we gather for mom’s nights out and playdates. These are relaxed times where deeper relationships can be fostered with one another.

As a subgroup of the Women’s Ministry, we encourage moms to participate in Women’s Bible Study. MOMS group will occasionally split from the rest of the study for a special session just for moms. During this time, we will have a guest speaker with ample discussion time pertaining to specific concerns in motherhood.

WHERE WILL MY CHILD BE?
During Women’s Bible Study, your child will be in an age-appropriate room with our childcare workers.  They will be well cared for and learn about the love of Jesus. We also offer a homeschool room for school-aged children. Per church policy, all childcare workers are required to have a background check.

Men's Ministry

Lifegroups

Our Men’s Ministry is focused on encouraging every man to be involved in a Men’s Small Group – we call them Life Groups. These groups of 6-8 men meet weekly or in some case every other week to have fellowship, study the bible, and hold one another accountable as we seek to worship and serve the Lord.

Events

In addition to small groups, keep an eye out for events scheduled throughout the year. These events are designed to help men get to know each other, connect in community, and have some fun! In the past these events have included camping trips, golf tournaments, and even a corn hole tournament.

Senior Adult Ministry

Young at Heart

Monthly Meetings: 2nd Thursday of the month at 11a. (September to May)

All seniors are invited to Young At Heart for a time of fellowship, a delicious meal and an entertaining program. There is nothing better than a fresh and delicious meal – unless it is friends to enjoy it with. We share ideas, share solutions, and from time to time share remedies for a strained muscle or a sore back.

This is a place to form friendships, gain a golfing buddy or a shopping friend, and learn a little bit along the way.  If an unexpected illness or injury puts someone out of commission for a while, those in “Young At Heart” are always willing to help. You will also hear about the most important thing in this life – what it takes to have eternal life; having a personal relationship with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. So, if you’d like to join us for food, fellowship and fun, we would love to have you.
