As we begin to live in what seems to be a completely different world, and adjust to living out a new normal, I wanted to give you some basic information of what we as a church, and as your pastors, are doing to encourage all of us as we strive to connect with God, connect with others, and connect others with God.
1. Your pastors will be writing blogs that you will be receiving consistently.
Please check these out as we address some important concerns and issues dealing with this pandemic. We have currently outlined at least 12 relevant topics that will be covered over the next weeks. You should receive the first blog tomorrow.
You can receive these posts directly to your email by going to blog.swiftcreekbaptist.org and subscribing at the bottom of the page.
2. As we work from home, please know that you will be always be able to get in touch with us.
If you call the church, your call will be re-directed to one of our administrative assistants. Also, all five of your pastors are here, and always welcome your phone calls, emails, or texts. PLEASE get in touch with us if you need us.
At this present time, I believe the pastors and church staff’s main responsibility is to stay in communication with you. We want to connect with you during this time.
3. During this crisis, our church would like to serve and help in any way possible.
For starters, we are initiating a ministry where our church members will serve those affected by the coronavirus, or those who are self-quarantining themselves. If you cannot or should not get out of your house during this time, we will have a team of people who will go shopping or run necessary errands for you (such as grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, etc.).
If you would like for someone to help you in this way, please email one of our administrative assistants, Audrey Cash, at audrey.cash@swiftcreekbaptist.org or call the church office at (804) 739-3001. We will then match a person to go for you. You can also reach out to us if you are willing to serve on this team.
