Trevor Collazo
Originally from Orlando, Florida, Trevor earned his BA in Education from the University of North Florida. He and his wife, Janelle, immediately felt called to missions, resulting in a three-year term in Belem, Brazil with the Network of International Christian Schools. After serving in Brazil and receiving his Master’s Degree from Liberty University, Trevor became the Elementary Principal, and eventually the Head of School, at Richmond Christian School here in Chesterfield. God’s calling into full-time pastoral ministry was providential as the church had been seeking a Worship Pastor for over a year. For the past seven years, Trevor and his family have attended Swift Creek Baptist Church.
Trevor’s musical journey began as a 6th-grade trombone player. He continued to progress as a musician and was later accepted into the prestigious University of North Florida Jazz Ensemble, where he played bass trombone. As a music education major, Trevor picked up a variety of instruments, including guitar, which led directly to opportunities to lead worship in the local church. During his time in Brazil, part of his ministry was to lead worship at an English-speaking church service. Trevor’s passion is to see people ushered into authentic, unhindered worship of Jesus Christ.
