Children’s Ministry

Swift Creek Children’s Ministry exists to bring children into a relationship with God though Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, to instill Biblical disciplines of memorizing Scripture and studying God’s Word, and to create a passion for sharing God’s love with others.

The mission of Swift Creek Children’s Ministry is to connect children to God through Biblical teaching, to connect children to others through Christ-centered programs and to connect others to God through family friendly activities.

Before children graduate out of our Children’s Ministry, they will learn:

  • Scripture is the inspired Word of God
  • God is Creator and Ruler of all things
  • Man was created to have a relationship with God
  • Man has chosen to rebel against God (sin) which has caused separation from God and the need for a Savior
  • God has provided for our need by sending Jesus Christ to die for our sins
  • We must choose to accept the gift of forgiveness of sins from Jesus Christ which will restore our relationship with God

1st-5th grade (Children)

9:30am: Children’s Connect Groups meet upstairs in the Children’s Hallway. Connect Groups are designed to provide a loving, nurturing, age-appropriate environment that lays the biblical foundation for faith in Christ and Godly living. Each grade level department consists of a team of teachers working together to best serve your children. Children grow in their faith through Bible knowledge, prayer, memory verses and developing the habit of doing daily devotions (a time with God). Building healthy relationships with their peers and family is emphasized as well.

11am: 1st through 5th grade children may worship with their parents at 11am or they may participate in Children’s Church. Children’s Church is designed to target the praise and worship needs of our children while building a bridge for their eventual graduation to the adult congregational worship. During this hour, the kids gain biblical knowledge and learn to apply it to their lives through singing, sharing, and relevant teaching.

Infant through Kindergarten (Preschool)

9:30am: Preschool Connect Groups meet downstairs in the preschool hallway. From infants and toddlers to preschoolers and kindergartners, each classroom is designed to meet children with age-appropriate activities that teach the love of Jesus coupled with biblical truths.

11am: Infants and toddlers will stay in their same rooms, while preschoolers (Age 3 – Kindergarten) will transition from Connect Groups to a rotation of activities. Preschoolers will enjoy a puppet show, Bible story video, organized group game that relates to the morning story, and time in the indoor playroom where they are supervised to play on our rock wall, chalk wall and reenact the mornings story with our dress-ups and stage set. Parents are encouraged to come see what your children are doing during our morning activities at 11am. After becoming a member of Swift Creek or attending for 6 months, parents will be included in the rotation of those scheduled to serve in our preschool classrooms.

Connecting with God, Connecting with Others, Connecting Others with God

At Swift Creek we are all about making connections. The most important connection is the one we can have with God through faith in Jesus Christ. Once that connection is established we want to make connections in our homes and with the rest of the church family. A strong church is built by people of strong faith and individual homes where God is worshiped and honored. Read More...
