About Swift Creek Student Ministry

The aim of the Swift Creek Student Ministry is for students to treasure Jesus and see him as far better than everything else this world has to offer (Phil 3:8).  From 6th-12th grade, students go through one of the most significant periods of transformation in their life. During these years, we long to see students be transformed into the image of Jesus Christ in every way through the power of the gospel (2 Cor. 3:18), and for them to see the Name of Jesus magnified and proclaimed to their family, friends, school, community, and to the ends of the earth–all for the glory God’s Great Name (Phil. 1:20-21; 1 Pet 2:9).

This is accomplished by centering everything we do on Jesus Christ and on all that he has accomplished for us in the gospel. We do this by:

  • Beholding Jesus through Christ-centered worship (Phil. 3:8)
  • Belonging to the family of God through Christ-centered relationships (Ephesians 4:15-16; Phil. 1:27).
  • Becoming leaders for Jesus through Christ-centered discipleship & service (2 Tim. 2:2; Mark 10:45)
  • Bringing the good news of Jesus to the world through obeying our Christ-centered mission (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).

We are serious about partnering alongside parents to see this aim accomplished. Our goal is to equip parents to be the primary disciple-maker of their home, with the ultimate aim that their teenager will grow up into adulthood loving and serving Christ with their whole heart, mind, soul, and strength (Eph. 6:4, Dt. 6:4-9, Eph. 4:13).

Connecting with God, Connecting with Others, Connecting Others with God

At Swift Creek we are all about making connections. The most important connection is the one we can have with God through faith in Jesus Christ. Once that connection is established we want to make connections in our homes and with the rest of the church family. A strong church is built by people of strong faith and individual homes where God is worshiped and honored. Read More...
