Recreation Committee

Batter up. Strike. Ball three. Touchdown. Serve. Slam dunk. Four. Slice. Curve.

The words are as varied as the games. SCBC has a lot of folks…some young….some moving up a few years…and some not as young, but they all have one thing in common, they enjoy sports. Inside and outside, from softball to bowling, from golf to volleyball, they love competition, fresh air and exercise.

It’s not whether you win or lose but how you play the game. And we play the game for fun, to get to know one another, to show that sports can, well, be played with a sportsmanlike attitude. We support each other and we don’t put down the other team. We believe we need to “live out” our faith. We need to let people see Jesus in us. And we do that on the field or course or bowling alley.

We exercise both our muscles and our spirits. We enjoy getting to know others in our church as well as those we play. Join us from some good old fashioned sporting events and help us “win one for the … well, for SCBC!”
