Greeters Ministry

Can you smile? Can you shake hands? Then we have just the spot for you. The Greeters ministry at Swift Creek is looking for a few good hands and a few good smiles.  That’s really all it takes. If you’ve ever been in a new church or joined a new group, you know how difficult it can be to not know where to go or to find out really wants going on.

The Greeters ministry needs people like you. People who understand. People who have a heart to help but really don’t know where to begin. You’ll learn faces and names and where events are held around the building. The work isn’t hard, you’re assigned about three times a year, stand in the foyer with bulletins and say “Boy, it’s nice to have you with us.” Or, “Say, I’ve missed you the last couple of Sundays.” Or, “I’m not sure where that class is but I know how to find out, let me help.”

The Greeters Ministry is a spot to get started – and we hope stay – as you set a goal to meet people and to get to know them. A smile and a handshake, a feeling of welcome, a comfortable spot when someone is feeling lost and uncomfortable.
