What do I need to know about Sunday Morning in the Preschool Department?

Curriculum
We use the Family Bible Study closely graded curriculum from
Lifeway .
In class preschoolers are given the opportunity to participate
in age appropriate Bible learning activities in the areas of Creative
Art, Manipulatives/Puzzles, Dramatic Play, Nature, and
Blocks/Construction. Each week parents receive a “Take Home Page”
that tells about the child’s Bible lesson and gives suggestions for
activities that they may do at home to reinforce the Biblical truth.
Playground & Outdoor Activities
As weather permits, your child may participate in 10-15 minutes of
playground time. Occasionally, classes will also go on “Nature
Walks” on the church campus. Parents should notify the class teacher if
they do not want their child to participate in such outdoor activities.
Snack
A snack is provided during Sunday School. The snack for Older Infants
and Toddlers is normally Cheerios or Crackers. The snack for children 2
years through Kindergarten is normally butter cookies and water or
apple juice. Parents are asked to send a bottle or cup with their
choice of water, milk or juice for young preschoolers. All cups/bottles
should be pre-labeled with the child’s name. Any special food
allergies should be noted on the child’s sign-in sheet. Any
other snacks will be listed at individual classes.
