Missions at Swift Creek

Swift Creek desires to be a church that is constantly Going Out with the Gospel. Acts 1:8. Says “…you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” We, therefore, strive to be on mission in our local community, throughout our region and in lost places around the world. All Swift Creek members are encouraged to live on mission by praying, giving, and by going.

Local Missions

We support and encourage participation with local partner ministries including SBCV Disaster Relief, Chesterfield Food Bank, Mercy Mall and others. We minister regionally with our Christmas Backpacks and support for church plants.

International Efforts

Our main international focus is planting a church in an unreached area outside of Lima, Peru. We have partnered with a Peruvian church, Cristo El Salvidor to plant a new church in an area known as Jicamarca. Jicamarca has no evangelical church in their community.

Swift Creek sends teams three to four times a year as we strive to make Christ known, disciple new believers in the community, and start this new church so that the gospel can be proclaimed in this previously unreached place. We want these new believers in Jicamarca to have a church where they can Gather, Grow, Give and Go!

Missionary Partners

In furthering this partnership in Peru, one of our own families have moved to Peru to assist in this work. Swift Creek is grateful for Jonathan and Holly Smith and their family as they faithfully serve and minister in this church planting effort.

Bless Every Home

This ministry tool helps us to connect with those in our neighborhood through praying, caring, sharing, and discipling.

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in darkness but have the light of life.”

The Lord planted our church where we are to help our neighbors discover the light of life. So, we’re asking each member of our church to consider becoming a Light to their neighbors and living intentional pray-care-share lifestyles.

We provide all the tools to get to know your neighbors by name so that you can begin to build relationships with them. You’ll receive a map and list of your closest neighbors, along with emails at the frequency of your choice to pray for your next five neighbors that day. When you get a chance, walk or drive by those homes as you pray for them.

Create a free online account and use your dashboard to track your individual progress with each neighbor. You will even receive optional daily reminder emails with a prayer prompt and 5 neighbors to pray for that day. Becoming a Light is free and confidential.

Red Cross Blood Drives

The American Red Cross holds blood drives at Swift Creek throughout the year. With the constant need for blood donations, every donation is an opportunity to save a life.

Participating in one of these drives also gives members a chance to make connections and share Jesus with those donating blood and the Red Cross workers who wouldn’t normally attend Swift Creek.
